12 Million Miles of Testing

The 2017 F-250 Pickup Truck is a workhorse with style added. It ranks as Best-in Class for Conventional Towing and for 5th wheel Gooseneck Towing. The 2017 F-250 is best suited for towing or hauling heavy loads. The power is from a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 385 hp and 430 lb.feet of torque. The 6.7 liter turbodiesel V8 has 440 hp and 925 lb.feet. of torque. Both engines use a six-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity for the 2017 F-250, if you choose the trailer towing package, is 18,000 pounds.

It is available in a Crew Cab, Regular Cab or Super Cab model. You will notice the 2017 F-250 remote tailgate release and power lock, the tailgate step and the LED headlights and taillights as new and stylish features that are all standard.

Lighter weight with more strength from the military-grade aluminum alloy which cut 350 pounds off the F-250.  Notice the frame is fully boxed, and has stronger axles, chassis and steering components. Your flexibility and agility just improved with these changes in the 2017 F-250 Pickup.

Technology Assists

Go ahead and be stunned by the advanced technology in this truck. Driver assist technology has 7 cameras to help you connect a trailer. They show views all 360 degrees around your 2017 Ford F-250.  Blind-spot information covers the trailer blind-spots as well as the truck's blindspots. The tire-pressure-monitor includes the trailer and the truck.

The 2017 F-250 also has a unique adaptive steering system, which makes the big truck easier to steer at any speed. Somehow it adjusts the steering gear ratios depending upon the vehicle speed and the driver's input.

Who Needs It?

Most people do not need the power and strength of the F-250. However, if you know the F-150 and you do a lot of hauling, like for construction, forestry, camping, etc, the 2017 F-250 will feel familiar but with a quieter ride and luxury accessories not found in other heavy-duty trucks. The 2017 F-250 Super Duty is truly designed for people who need a truck that can do more than a ½ ton truck.
